    A Great Weekend

This past weekend I had the privilege of attending and participating my younger brother Corey's wedding. He married Rachel Edwards (now Minter). Me and my wife Courtney left on Thursday to make the six hour long trek up to Virginia. It was great to see family and friends that I do not often see. We spent much of Thursday and Friday preparing for "the big day." Friday night was the rehearsal for the wedding and more importantly the rehearsal dinner. That night of course the guys got together and spent the last hours of the night with the soon-to-be groom. The wedding on Saturday was at 6 o'clock that evening so most of the day was spent with family. We went through the schedule of the wedding day with ease; there were plenty of pictures to be taken and that sort of thing. The wedding itself was done exceptionally well by the brother of the bride. The ceremony went great and they were married and drove off into the sunset in a red convertible corvette (I drove off from my wedding in a red Jeep with one of my groomsmen hiding in the back [not exactly the thing you want to find on your wedding day]). Both the bride and groom were exceptionally happy to see that everything fell into place just as it was planned. I do not think I have ever known a bride to be more prepared for her wedding day. Which after having thought through the whole day is exactly what Christ asks of His bride. We are not told the day or the hour when He will return neither do we know when our last breath will be taken. Something to think about...

    Congratulations Rachel and Corey
